MANAGED CARE CONCEPTS, INC. RN CASE MANAGERS ACHIEVE CERTIFIED
WELLNESS COACH CERTIFICATION
Lincolnwood, IL---Managed Care Concepts, Inc. RN Case Managers have
achieved the designation of Certified Wellness Coach (CWC) through
the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee College of Health Sciences.
The nurses have successfully completed the education program in:
Wellness Medicine. Brief Intervention Coaching Protocol, Motivational
Interviewing, and have successfully passed the Wellness Coach Examination
conducted by The American Health-For-Life Institute in association
with the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee College of Health Sciences.
The Certified Wellness Coach is trained in multi-disciplinary health
risk resolution practice; and integrates with other health professionals.
Certified Wellness Coaches are trained to elicit life style changes
by using the following motivational techniques:
· Preemptive Intervention
· Use of Empathy not Authority and Power
· Recognition of a Continuum of Unhealthy Lifestyle Problems
· Risk Resolution Goals
· Natural Change
